For our upcoming trip to Disneyland, I was on the fence about whether or not I wanted to come up with an autograph book. In past trips I have not bothered with any character photos or signatures, but I have also never had young children along. I am still not sure how into it my kids might be, but I know I don’t want to regret not having one in case it is something they are excited by. We do have a character breakfast booked for our first morning in Disneyland Park and I figure at the very least we will be able to get signatures and hopefully a couple photos of the kids with the characters there.
Our autograph book is made using a basic 5×7″ plastic sleeved photo album I picked up at Walmart. These are commonly found in a 4×6″ size, but I opted for the slightly larger one to give the characters plenty of room to sign on each page.
To customize my photo album, I designed a simple front and back cover to replace the inserts it came with.
Inside, I have designed 8 different card templates for the characters to sign. These will be printed and ready to sign, then I can slip right them right into the photo album.
To finish off my book, I have made a hole punch in the back of the book to tie a ribbon through and attach the marker we will be using. From what I have read, the retractable Sharpie Brand markers work best to ensure there are no lost lids.
To print your own Mickey inspired Disneyland Autograph Album, download the 2016 pdf version of the file here:
2018 VERSION 5×7 size: Autograph Cards 5x7_Disneyland 2018_DolledUpDesign
2018 VERSION 4×6 size: Autograph Cards 4x6_Disneyland 2018_DolledUpDesign
A Walt Disney World version can be downloaded here:
2018 VERSION 5×7 size: Autograph Cards 5x7_WDW 2018_DolledUpDesign
2018 VERSION 4×6 size: Autograph Cards 4x6_WDW 2018_DolledUpDesign
Mine was printed through the Staples Copy Centre on 100lb cardstock.
And there you have it. I love the way it turned out and am excited to hopefully get some signatures. Once back, I will print off pictures of the kids with the characters to include in the album alongside each of the signatures and it will be a cheap and easy souvenir of our first trip to Disneyland.

UPDATE
Almost a year later I have finally managed to go through our photos and actually print some to put into our autograph album.
The kids were far more co-operative with the characters then I expected and I am happy to have captured so many great photos and memories on our trip. Just going through all the photos was enough to put me into severe Disney withdrawal!
I love the finished album and am so happy I went to the effort to put it together. It is a great memento and will definitely be something I will repeat for our next Disney trip.
This is fantastic, Chantelle!

I absolutely love this! I would love to print this for my grandson and 2 nieces before our trip in September; however, do you know if there is any way to change Disneyland to Disneyworld, since that is where we will be visiting? Thanks!

Not yet. We are planning to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in Disney World in 2017 so I intend on doing a new version before then. Check back closer to the new year and I should have them updated.
