I have been busy the past week baking up a storm this week to have items to donate to the school bakesale, as well as cookies to gift to neighbours and treats for us to enjoy at home over the Christmas Holidays.

Chocolate Candy Cane Pretzels
I was not going to do neighbour gifts last year. I had decided to try and simplify my gift giving and spend less, but then gifts of chocolate and baking all started slowly showing up at our door. Naturally my husband asked what we were giving, so I had to scramble to come up with an easy and affordable last minute gift. Continue reading “Chocolate Candy Cane Pretzels”
Disney Inspired Treat: Mickey Soft Pretzels
April 26 is National Pretzel day and today my family is celebrating with these delicious Mickey soft pretzels I baked up yesterday. Judging by how many my husband enjoyed, I think this will definitely have to be a repeat recipe in our house.

Disney Inspired Treats: Bananas Foster Mickey Mouse Waffles
National Waffle day is coming up on March 25 and what better way to celebrate then with Mickey Mouse shaped waffles? If you have a traditional shaped waffler, it will work, but there is just something magical about a Mickey Shaped Waffle – especially smothered in an amazing bananas foster sauce!

Disney Inspired Treats : Churro Popcorn
When doing my research for our Disneyland trip 2 years ago, it was hard not to become completely sidetracked by the pictures and reviews of all the amazing foods Disney has to offer in their parks. There are blogs dedicated solely to sharing the world of Disney eats and one could easily spend a large portion of their time in the parks hunting down and enjoying a variety of sweet and savoury treats plus fine dining meals.
A Year of School Treats
With the school year rapidly drawing to a close, I thought I would compile a list of all the fun treats I came up with to send in for special holidays and birthday treats over the past 10 months. I love the chance to get creative in the kitchen, so when the opportunity comes up to bring in a themed treat I am more then happy to sign up and bake up something new. Ninja Turtle Cupcake Poppers
If you can bake and frost a cupcake, I promise you can make these adorable Ninja Turtle Cupcake Poppers. The cake is straight from a box and the middle filling is a basic buttercream icing. They are quick, tasty and sure to please your favorite Ninja Turtle fan. Continue reading “Ninja Turtle Cupcake Poppers”
Storytime Treats inspired by Mo Willems
Even though I am a stay at home mom, I don’t get the chance to go in and volunteer at my son’s kindergarten classroom because my 3 year old is home with me. To try and make up for this, I often sign up to bring the treats for holiday celebrations and their monthly birthday celebration. Continue reading “Storytime Treats inspired by Mo Willems”
Easter Egg Decorating with Rice Krispie Treats
I loved dying Easter Eggs as a kid, but I have not kept up the tradition with my own kids since no one in our house is particularly fond of hard boiled eggs. We have tried the plastic ones meant for dying and decorating, but they take an awfully long time to absorb the dye and don’t look near as good as a real egg. Marshmallow Bunny Treats
One of my favourite treats at Easter are the bunny and chick shaped Marshmallow Peeps. There is something about the bright colors and fun shapes that I love and reminds me of childhood. Continue reading “Marshmallow Bunny Treats”
